okay its so difficult to multi task now. especially when most of the windows opened contains huge chunks of words about the ozone layer, sulphate aerosols and volcanic eruptions. i'm really getting nowhere with the chem assignment. gosh and sch is going to reopen in 2 days

ah lets get back to the point. its about 1 hour to 2008. and 2007 is ending really soon. 2007 was a good year i suppose. being the first batch of dhp students to experience jc life, we were given more opportunities than the rest for many activities, in terms of setting up an entirely new cca to opportunities like taking part in interschool events. the year didnt past without challenges, no doubt, but i could say that all went relatively well.

2007 started off with our yr 5 orientation, which i could proudly say was organised and carried out by our teachers and some of our seniors. we were grouped into random groups and i could clearly rmb sticking to clarissa during those 3 days because i wasnt really close to anyone else in e group. haha. during e orientation we were asked to try to plan activities as one of the aims of the orientation was to build up our leaderships skills. my group played with soap. that was e only thing i could remember about our game.

then there was syf. to say the truth, practices were not the most enjoyable because i tend to feel lousy and discouraged after each practice, especially when syf was nearing. the time we had for preparation was so short, and we didnt even have time to come up with an entirely new dance for the competition. but it was a gd experience. lol the first time i could really feel myself trembling like crazy on stage. ahh

year 5 level camp after that. i could say that this was my most enjoyable level camp(: probably because the activities were carried out according to our clses and not in random groups. the activities and games that we played were really fun, something that we could never experience back at home and the teachers were the ones that hypened up the atmosphere with their sporting nature and enthusiasm. boom netting and trekking will be sth i will never forget for life. haha

our first common tests after the june hols. it felt different to have an important exam slapped in the middle of the year because dhs has the tradition of not having mid year exams during secondary school years. we had less papers to sit for than in junior high years, because we took less subjects, but omg the chem, bio, geog papers were the most difficult papers i ever took!

ah yes, adv found exam. the preparation for the exam was bad. i wasnt the only one suffering, we were always feeling discouraged and on the verge of crying after clses. we did okay i guess, tho im not exceptionally pleased with what i've got but im ok. but i could say that adv found brought us closer together. and the various funny incidents that happened!

teachers day. celebrations at dhs were different this year cos there's no more zheng4 xin1 yuan2 for us to party at. i do miss those times when the whole sch gathers at the tiny garden located in the centre of the sch, mixing around and grabbing foods from other ppls tables! haha lucky juniors will probably get to enjoy these again when they are back at the tanjong rhu campus. AND what the 4 of us did for ms lee during teachers day was sth i could never forget too! ahh it was so funny esp when tashi was jumping up and reaching to the ceiling! and our card! that gave us more stress haha(:

and our most unenjoyable childrens day when our promos started. GP was the first paper and perhaps the most worrying and discouraging paper. ah but i guess we all made it in e end yea? maths was really really difficult and the rest were much better than the common test papers. getting PROMOTED was the only thing in our minds at that time

even after our promos we couldnt relax like the rest because of pw. preparations for pw op and in fact the whole of pw wasnt enjoyable at all, im sry to say. my group wrked rather well, so things were quite okay but there were definitely times of irritation and misunderstandings. seeing the name Muhammad Yunus still sends the shivers down my spine but im glad i got to know how noble he is, and the contributions he made to society. things went okay i guess and we'll have to wait till next year to know the results.

4k chalet. the first chalet that i stayed overnight in! im not exactly the most enthusiastic person in such activities but i do look forward to those with 4k. haha. ah but everyone slpt at about 2 i guess. we're tired okayy

wosh the attachment programme that took up half of my holidays! if i were to be asked to complain about the attachment programme, the list would go on for some time. but it was a rare experience so i guess i shouldnt complain. and my dearest supervisor and his colleagues! they are so nice! (:

lastly! the many times xh zy amelia and i went out during the year! i cant say we had alot of times out tgt but it was definitely more than previous years! and i really enjoyed those times(:

omg its e 28th of dec!! this means that theres only 3 more days to the start of the new year! i cant believe 2007 is going to end. it was just like yesterday when i was wondering how 2007 will be like whr we will attend lessons in school as e new batch of year 5s. i guess now it will be time for us to be looking forward to 2008. ahh hope that the lucky number 8 will bring us luck next year lol

went for a short meeting in sch this morning. and went out with xh after tt. watched national treasure, my first movie after eons! haha it was good. the storyline was gd, so were the effects. the show was touching and there was a meaning behind it. yayy i like it. and we went SHOPPing after that. life hasnt been like tt for so long. okay maybe not that long cos i just went to malaysia where there were tons of shopping but maybe cos i was deprived for a couple of days after being sick. haha and poor me had to sit there n watch xh feast on her icecream. ahh!

ohohoh! and we saw joanne peh and tay pinghui at marina! ahh shes so pretty and he's so gd looking! ok im not a desperate freak but they really look good. esp w all e make up and all. ahh

ate 2 pineapple tarts after dinner tonight. yayy im officially declared to have recovered from my flu! although im still sniffing and coughing at times haha. my first junk food since eons ago! lol where eons= 1 week. haha

i dont miss it as much as i thot i will. hmm this doesnt look gd

just a week of holidays left and theres so many things left for me to do. ah but to say the truth im still in a very relaxed mood. ahh and its really bad to get sick during the last week of hols when theres so much catching up to do.

havent been doing much work since fri when i started feeling unwell. ahh thanks amanda for helping me relief(: and i was watching tv and slping for the whole of today. cos i found nice shows on youtube to watch! haha. it may seem childish but its nice okayy haha. barbie! woots. just finished watching barbie in nutcracker. there wasnt much dancing but short snippets of barbie dancing were shown. dancing was made so easy in the cartoon. if only it was like that in reality. but its just a simplistic portrayal of dance. nevertheless the cartoon is still nice because of its ideal and perfect ending. haha

back from malaysia(: good trip overall haha. had a good time laughing, especially last night before bed. maybe i'll blog about e trip again another time.

ahh but i've been eating so much! these 3 days have done so much injustice to me!

last day of attachment today. ahh i'll be leaving ICES in an hour's time and i doubt i'll come back to this place. probably next time when i have e chance, i will still choose this place just that it is quite inaccessible and the food is quite bad.

its always like tt. during e attachment itself i was complaining and felt so sian. its inevitable la. because i have to force myself to wake up early for 1 month of the holidays and be able to go home only at 7+ in the evening. but looking back, it really was a good experience and exposure and i'm glad i went for it. i enjoyed it, but i'll probably enjoy it more if it was only 2 or 3 weeks haha. supervisor is really nice and they sacrificed so much to help me with my experiments. this experience is definitely memorable(: 10 years down e road when i look back at this attachment, i'll probably feel v priviledged and fortunate to be able to attend it. Ahhh moments ago when i went to say goodbye to my supervisor, i felt quite emotional. he helped me for one month!! ahh he's so nice(:

okay. going to malaysia tmr morning. and it will be 4 days of no work but play and shop! woshh! i really need this break before coming back next week to finish up all my hw, and report. another poster to go.

yes and i better refresh my memory on some of e sch wrk. i totally forgot everything. and this is not a gd sign. haha

ahh yes! and i have to go out with friends!

Zhong reminded me about my blog which i have neglected since last month. ahh but cant blame me for having such a busy holiday haha

the holidays are passing too quickly. i've realised that time is passing faster as we get older, probably because we are more tightly packed with activities. cant believe that theres only 3 weeks of holidays left. 1 more week of attachment, 1 week in malaysia and the last week left to finish all my homework. gosh. there is so much work to complete. dont even know if theres sufficient time in the last week to complete my work. and 2008 is coming soon. ahh i really dno what to expect

SCOUT day presentation today. yep it was okay and glad we achieved sth. i wasnt expecting much seriously especially after what happened in e morning. we went to biopolis and realised that we were one of the few schools without ppts for our presentations! haha but no one told us to make one so it turned out okay as we just presented on our poster. at least we got the pples attention i guess haha. but it was great working with the team, youbao jobina francesca and junli. meetings were productive and i guess we worked well tgt(: ahh but this is probably the only and last time we will be doing a project like this together because i doubt we will have time next year to participate in such events. to say the truth the AACR conference is not exactly the most interesting conference i have attended but at least we all learnt something in doing the poster. haha this somewhat reminds me of our pw series of events where we planned for a post seminar newspaper designing competition to reinforce the knowledge gained by the students during the seminar. ahh but this is besides the point. im trying so hard to forget pw now.

hee my supervisor treated me and 3 other colleagues to pizza today! haha. and they were so amusing! so this is what researchers talk about 0.0 haha. no offence but this is the nicest and tastiest lunch i have eaten at ices. haha but the attachment was a gd experience, other than the fact that i dont exactly like e food and that i get so tired after every day of work and i have no time to go for ballet.

adv cls ytd was good. haha adv clses are always gd except for days when i get weird hip pains or muscles aches. barre was gd ytd but e stretching made my hip hurt again and i was totally struggling in centre so i guess i didnt really work. yes i miss such classes so much! and the seniors came back!! ahh all of them are so skinny and pretty STILL. yepp(:

btw this post is posted in ices. haha probably the only post that i will post here. it is not allowed anyway and im supposed to be looking up on some new science info but ahh. since i ended early and i missed e 4oclock bus to go home early:( i can write a nice long post.
