looking ahead

this time last week, i was really nervous about my ballet exam. yet now, the exam seemed as though it was held years ago and there is nothing but a vague memory left of it. i do miss those times of intensive training when the four of us would be sweating and panting in the enclosed room. but i guess that cnt continue because promos are in 1 weeks time and im not even half prepared for it.

its really obvious tt e yr 5s are stressed. to the extent that teachers have to come forward to tell us to just relax and have confidence in ourselves. being the pioneer batch, it is not surprising that we will put more stress on ourselves to achieve perfection, as there are no seniors for us to benchmark ourselves against. ahh but im sure we can do it and we have to have confidence in ourselves. because it is only through optimism that we can pass through this exam-filled phase in life.

spent the whole of last night and tonight on the comp trying to complete my EoM. pw is termed as a 'not very useful' 'time consuming' h1 subject to many and to say the truth i dont really disagree with that. but looking through the past 2 drafts of my eom, there are definitely improvements though the credit goes mainly to mdm leong who gave e pointers and suggestions. maybe pw did help to shape my thinking in a way. and it probabily did help the thousand others that took or are taking this subject. maybe if we were to look at PW with a different mindset, the subject would be more enjoyable and productive. yes the key to success is optimism, because i have concluded that there is no use brooding over negative issues that will make oneself more depressed.

before mid autumn celebrations in sch ytd, xh zy and i went out for lunch and settled in jurong east library to study. ah! i really enjoyed it! with e numerous gossips and laughter! though it has been almost a year since we were separated into different clses, i still miss 4k alot. the laughter and fun with the cls. wosh love u guys (:

in just hours the school holidays will be over. september holidays never felt so short. if you were to ask me what i did this holidays, my ans will probably consist more of going out with friends and dancing instead of staying at home to study. since it has passed im not going to go on about how i shld have spent my time more wisely by staying at home to study, but plan ahead instead.
i dislike exams. but i guess it is only through exams that one's standard can be determined. it just puts too much stress on us. maybe we're considered lucky already. the next generation of children will probably face much more stress than us from a much younger age as can be seen now. kids in kindergarten have to sit for exams! was quite shock when i heard this because the only thing i can remember about kindergarten life would be walking around in the well decorated classroom and going to a corner to play the toy cooking set.
PROMOS. like what szewee said we should not be so pessimistic. todays pw session was kind of unproductive but we did talk about how stressed we are. GP- a subject other jc students worry about getting an A or not, yet in our sch its a matter of passing or failing. i like my pw grp, v nice ppl. ah but the subject isnt sth tt im exactly enthusiastic about.

i dreamt of GP ytd night now that this topic is mentioned. i dreamt tt mr cave placed all of our cls' essays on the teachers table. nth much of the dream could be remembered so i dont think anything particularly exciting happened in the dream or i would have remembered it. but nevertheless having to dream of GP is torturous enough.

ohyes. and about the tightened discipline in school now. all of us are going to look guai tmr. yes im taking out the elastics and tuck in properly.

its september already. this year is passing faster than i can imagine. 15 days more to adv found. 27 more days to promos. i would be lying if i were to say that im not stressed.

teachers day pfrmance ended in a flash and i guess we all did well! hope e dance looked nice and hope our efforts since july did pay off. wosh! our first performance to e school and hope we would attract many to join us next year! haha. yep and the teachers' performances were super funny. ah cant believe tt during this time last year eoys would have ended and we were playing so hard and getting ready for nanjing. ah time flies

went for our 2nd geog fieldtrip after teachers day pfmance. our first trip out with mrs chua! haha shes really nice and its so cool to know tt there's actually a river in singapore! a natural one. haha and i love e feeling of standing in the middle of the river channel, with the fast flowing water pushing against my legs! although this may not be exactly the most environmentally friendly act as we are changing e natural site in a way by standing in the middle of the channel. ah but its really nice and the river is so nice and clear!

and our surprise for ms lee! haha it was so funny esp when tashi was jumping up the piano chair to stick our present onto the ceiling. yes and our promises made. wosh! love u guys=)
